On Remembrance Sunday there is an Act of Remembrance at the village War Memorial at 10.15 a.m. It lasts for about a quarter of an hour and is followed by coffee at the Union Chapel.
Some of those attending then go on to join services at St Mary’s. There is a shortened Parish Eucharist at 10.00 a.m. followed by the Service of Remembrance at 10.50 a.m. This is a solemn service held so that we may never forget those from the village who gave their lives for our freedom today.
