St Mary’s supports the work of the Chiltern Foodbank, which is a part of the national Trussell Trust charity.  We do this as a response to Christ’s teaching, and as a way of helping society in general and our community in particular.

We fulfil this task by having a box always available in Church to receive donations of non-perishable, long-dated food. An up to date list of the most-needed items can be found on the food bank website:  These gifts are then taken to a central warehouse, where they are packaged, ready to be distributed to clients in need.  Some of the St Mary’s family also volunteer to help in the warehouse as an extra way to serve. As we know more about how food banks help people in crisis, we are more able to enable people to access the help available.

We welcome your support, both through prayer and in a practical way: the box is always available in church if you would like to make a donation.
